Farm Equipment Tax

Re “Farmers Rally for Repeal of Equipment Sales Tax,” April 17: I think it is about time to lay into those farmers who think they shouldn’t have to pay sales tax on $150,000 farm tractors. Who do they think they are? Don’t they know that it is a privilege to do business in California, and even if the state makes it hard on them to make any money, they need to pay up now! The state knows best when it comes to other people’s money, and how to spend it.
