There’s modest warmth rather than roaring fire from the Eagles’ bassist, whose first solo album in 11 years is steeped in ‘70s R&B-tinged; classic rock a’ la you know who. His high-flying tenor sounds sweet as ever, and benefits from harmonies three and four voices deep on pleasant-enough songs of his own and straight-forward versions of Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” and the Stylistics’ 1972 hit “You Are Everything.”
