This article on the rise of ridership on the public transit system was great news. However, the number of riders would most assuredly increase if the MTA adopted a more realistic schedule, especially for trains.
Many people, myself included, can’t take the train to work if we can’t also take it back home. Having the last train at 6 p.m. makes this impossible for anyone who doesn’t work 9 to 5.
Make public transit less difficult than taking your car, not more difficult. You just might be surprised at how many Californians aren’t having a love affair with their car.
