A man wanted in connection with a violent takeover bank robbery nearly two years ago was arrested Wednesday at the end of a vehicle chase and will appear in federal court today, an FBI spokeswoman said.
Trayveon Choyce, 28, was captured at 43rd Street and Crenshaw Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m., authorities said.
Choyce was wanted in connection with the Sept. 9, 1999, robbery of the Rockwell Federal Credit Union in Seal Beach, FBI officials said. Choyce was the last of five suspects to be arrested on suspicion of the robbery, the spokeswoman said.
Authorities had him under surveillance in Seal Beach when he took off in a Ford pickup, Bosley said. Authorities from various agencies pursued him. The truck crashed into several cars during the pursuit.
Choyce bailed out of the moving truck and ran into the New Millennium Sport Barber Shop on Vermont Avenue, authorities said. He was arrested a few blocks away.
