From Staff Reports

Trinity Law School Dean Winston L. Frost missed a deadline Monday to answer allegations that he plagiarized an article on the history of human rights for the school’s law review journal.

Frost asked for a two-week extension to issue a written response to charges that he lifted his article, which appeared in the fall 2000 issue of the Trinity Law Review, from the Encyclopaedia Britannica.

“The extension is for the benefit of all parties concerned, so the response can be as specific and detailed as possible,” said attorney Tom Borchard, who represents Frost.

Officials at Trinity International University, parent school of Trinity Law School, referred questions to attorney Ken Anderson, who said Frost’s request was news to him.

“We do want Dean Frost to have an opportunity to provide us with as much detailed information as possible,” he said. “I believe we would be cooperative with his request.”
