* NetGuru Inc., a Yorba Linda information technology company, reported that its net loss for the first quarter widened to $1.2 million, or 7 cents a share, from $300,000, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue fell 7% to $6.8 million.

* Lake Forest collectibles company L.L. Knickerbocker Co. reported second-quarter profit of $180,000, contrasted with a net loss of $671,000, or 1 cent a share, for the comparable period last year. Sales declined 24% to $6.7 million. The company, which is in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, has agreed to sell nearly all its assets.

* Biotechnology company Nexell Therapeutics Inc. in Irvine reported a second-quarter net loss of $6.3 million, or 30 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $9.8 million, or 53 cents a share, for the 2000 second quarter. Revenue was up 7% to $4.9 million.

* MindArrow Systems Inc., an Aliso Viejo online marketer, said it lost $3.3 million, or 30 cents a share, in the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $3.8 million, or 38 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue increased 36% to $822,729.

* NeoTherapeutics Inc., an Irvine biopharmaceutical company, reported a second-quarter net loss of $6.6 million, or 36 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $12.3 million, or $1.29 a share, for the second quarter of 2000. Revenue totaled $8,334. No revenue was reported a year ago.

* Litronic Inc., an Irvine provider of Internet security products and services, said it lost $1.8 million, or 18 cents a share, for the second quarter, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $2.4 million, or 24 cents a share. Revenue declined 31% to $6.3 million.
