Police Say Boy Saved Sister From Kidnapper
Authorities are crediting a 10-year-old boy with saving his younger sister from a kidnapper.
The 7-year-old girl was sleeping next to her brother on a couch Saturday when a man entered the home through an unlocked back door about 4:30 a.m., said Kern County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Niccoli. The man carried the girl from the house and ran into the desert.
The boy followed the pair out of the house and kept shouting, “Let go of my sister!” which detectives believe distracted the kidnapper enough that he dropped the girl, enabling her to escape. She suffered a bloody nose.
