Gunman Sought in Liquor Store Robbery
Simi Valley police searched for a gunman Saturday who held up a Los Angeles Avenue liquor store the night before and fled on foot through a back door.
Witnesses told police the robber was wearing dark pants, a T-shirt and a red beanie-style cap during the holdup at Friendly Spirit and Liquor about 7:30 Friday, Simi Valley Police Lt. Andy McCluskey said.
Police say the robber pointed a handgun at the clerk and ordered him to lie on the floor. The gunman then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, McCluskey said.
