Work Set to Begin on MC&C; Commerce Center

McGranahan Carlson & Co. will break ground Monday on a 500,000-square-foot industrial park on a 20-acre site at 16301 Trojan Way in La Mirada.

The $30-million development, called MC&C; Commerce Center, will house the California-South Division of Corporate Express, a supplier of office and computer products and services, which will occupy 320,000 square feet.

The project is owned by MC&C;/Fortis II, a joint venture between McGranahan Carlson and New York-based John Alden Life Insurance Co. It was designed by Hill Pinckert Architects of Newport Beach, with Oltmans Construction Co. of Whittier as the general contractor. Completion is slated for spring 2002.
