A faulty electrical cable was blamed for knocking out power to 3,775 customers in Oxnard and Port Hueneme, Southern California Edison officials said Tuesday.
The outage occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Monday near Channel Islands Harbor, utility spokesman Rudy Gonzales said.
Most customers had their power restored within a few minutes, but about 750 homes were cut off for more than an hour. It was the second time in 10 days that power was knocked out in the area.
