Forklift Used to Steal ATM Inside Supermarket
From Times Staff Reports
Burglars used a forklift early Sunday morning to break into a supermarket and cart away an automated teller machine, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The burglary happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday at the Gelson’s market at Mulholland Highway and Mulholland Drive, Sheriff’s Sgt. Cally Barrier said.
The Washington Mutual ATM was not bolted to the floor, Barrier said. She would not say how much money was stolen.
