Teacher’s Aide Found Guilty of Sexual Assaults

A former teacher’s aide in the Los Angeles Unified School District was convicted Thursday of a series of sexual assaults and kidnappings across the San Gabriel Valley involving teenage girls.
Edward Novelo, 21, of La Puente faces a possible life sentence for his conviction by a Pasadena Superior Court jury on nine counts, including rape, forcible oral copulation and kidnapping to commit a sex crime.
