Dangerous Jogging Roads

Any sense of mourning over the accidental death of Jennifer Lynn Bonds is mired by her father’s utter lack of acknowledging his responsibility in regularly jogging with his daughter along a road that basically is an alternative to the Ventura Freeway, and the writer’s inclusion of Mr. Bonds’ irrelevant observations about the traffic patterns on Santa Rosa Road.

Mr. Bonds, I am saddened by your loss, but there are well-documented reasons for not jogging along busy roads: drunk drivers, elevated amounts of pollution and the unfortunate, but likely, chance of losing your balance and veering into traffic.

The county can’t control the amount of cars traveling on a certain road or the amount of passengers they carry, Mr. Bonds, so I hope you discover other personal ways to gain closure.
