Scenic Maui Route Closed for Repairs on Weekdays

The Hana Highway on Maui in Hawaii, a scenic tourist route known for its twists and turns, is being closed on weekdays for several months of repairs. One lane is shut 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and both lanes are shut 6 to 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. those days, according to Hawaii’s Department of Transportation. The project is expected to last until summer.
