No Triumph for Terror
Letter writer Jane El Farra (Dec. 19) thinks she has the simple key for Middle East peace: for Israel to unilaterally withdraw from the West Bank and Gaza. Yet she ignores the fact that Israel only gained control of those areas after it was attacked by its Arab neighbors for the third time, as they attempted to wipe Israel off the map. She should look to the Arab world, not Israel, as the perpetrators of Palestinian suffering. Calling for unilateral concessions from Israel after 15 months of Palestinian terrorism would only send the message that terrorism pays.
