16-Year-Old Pleads Guilty to Sexually Assaulting Boy
A 16-year-old pleaded guilty Friday to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy last summer in a Van Nuys home for juvenile offenders.
Christopher Morales, who was charged as an adult, is expected to be sentenced to three years in state prison under a plea agreement, Los Angeles County Deputy Dist. Atty. Peter J. Korn said.
The victim and his three attackers lived in the Mid-Valley Youth Center, a private facility that houses juvenile delinquents.
Morales and two other juveniles were accused of luring the younger boy into a room at the center by offering him food, Korn said.
Once inside, two of the attackers held the boy down while Morales assaulted him, Korn said. Morales pleaded guilty to one count of sexual penetration with a foreign object.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lloyd Nash is to sentence Morales on March 26.
