Epicor Software Shrinks Its Loss in 4th Quarter

Epicor Software Corp., an Irvine maker of electronic business software, narrowed its net losses in the fourth quarter while revenue declined.

The company posted a net loss of $5.4 million, or 13 cents a share, for the three months, including a charge of $2 million related to the resolution of a legal dispute. A year earlier, Epicor lost $43.4 million, or $1.06 a share. Revenue fell 14.4% to $53.7 million.

For the year, the company lost $40.7 million, or 98 cents a share, compared with $50.6 million, or $1.25 a share, the previous year. Revenue dropped nearly 15% to $219.8 million.
