Last-Second Basket Lifts Sea Kings

Eric Snell made a layup at the buzzer to give visiting Corona del Mar an 84-82 victory over University in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday.

Snell, who scored 23 points, took the inbounds pass the length of the court with six seconds left for the game-winning shot.

The Sea Kings (11-15, 5-4) trailed most of the game, but rallied in the fourth quarter behind timely shooting by guard Idean Shahangian, who had 26 points.

Jason Garey scored a game-high 29 points for University (14-10, 6-3), which could have clinched a tie for the league title with a victory.
