Micro Therapeutics Inc.

The Irvine medical device company posted a fourth-quarter net loss of $3.4 million, or 34 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $3 million, or 37 cents a share. Sales increased 46% to $1.9 million. For the year, the company lost $11.8 million, or $1.22 a share, compared with a net loss of $13.8 million, or $1.86 a share, for the previous year. Sales were up 39% to $5.7 million.
