Even Fans Are Ganging Up on Kobe

Share

Kobe, no one will ever say they’re criticizing the improvement of your game. There is nothing wrong with spending time honing your skills to become a better player. What people are criticizing is that you hoist 30 shots a game and don’t get your teammates involved.

And as for you doing it all to help your team? Please . . . that’s preposterous. If you wanted to help your team you’d pass the ball out of a double-team, you’d listen to Phil Jackson more, and you’d dump the ball into the defending NBA MVP more often. Your one-on-five attitude does little to help the team. And if that’s what you worked on last summer, then your game has gone backward, not forward.

I have an idea that will save the Lakers millions of dollars: Waive everybody except Kobe Bryant.

Bryant seems to think that he’s the only player on the team who “wants to win,” so why continue to pay his teammates, when one superstar can do it all himself?

The real reason Shaquille O’Neal is skipping the NBA All-Star game? He doesn’t want to have to teach Rasheed, K.G. and the Mailman all the top-secret “freeze-out-Kobe” hand signals.
