Apria Sees Income and Revenue Rise

Apria Healthcare Group Inc., a Costa Mesa provider of home health care services and equipment, reported fourth-quarter net income of $15.3 million, or 28 cents a share. That’s up from $11.9 million, or 22 cents a share, a year earlier, when the company also recorded a $131.4-million tax benefit. Revenue increased 7% to $258.3 million.

Net income for the year was $57 million, or $1.06 a share. Excluding the nonrecurring tax benefit, the company earned $42.4 million, or 79 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue rose 8% to $1 billion.
