In other first-round games:

Royal 2, Lancaster 0--The Highlanders posted their 16th shutout of the season at Royal.

Jairo Quintero and Randy Wilson scored for Royal (23-3-4).

Lancaster finished 15-5-2.

Rio Mesa 3, Canyon 1--Jimmy Heathcote scored two goals, setting a school record with 31 in his career, for the Spartans (15-8-2) in a victory at Rio Mesa.

Heathcote broke the mark of 30 set by Jaime Ambriz in 1997.

Canyon finished 11-5-5.

DIVISION III

Newbury Park 5, Perris 1--Michael Falcone scored from 45 yards for the Panthers moments after Perris had drawn within 2-1 early in the second half at Newbury Park.

Michael Thompson scored twice for Newbury Park (19-4-2), which led, 2-0, at halftime.

Ronald Gallegos and Jon Krupansky also scored for the Panthers.

DIVISION IV

Crespi 2, Oak Park 0--Jay Duffy and Andrew Wright scored in overtime for the Celts (18-5-1) at Crespi.

Wright scored with a header on a throw-in by Sean Canel. Mitchell Reyes set up Duffy’s score with a corner kick.

Peter Bomar made seven saves for Oak Park (10-10-3).

St. Francis 1, Lompoc Cabrillo 0--Daniel Paladini scored his 11th goal of the season in the first half and the Golden Knights (19-5) won their seventh consecutive game at St. Francis.

Sean O’Connor helped St. Francis record its 12th shutout, although Cabrillo (11-12-4) forced him to make five saves.

La Canada 5, Rosamond 0--Eric Irvine, who had three goals, Bassam Khan and Nick Marquand scored in the first half at La Canada.

Irvine has 24 goals and Khan has 21 goals for the Spartans (20-0-1).

Rosamond finished 12-11-1.
