Technicolor to Expand

Camarillo-based Technicolor, the largest processor of motion picture films, said Tuesday it plans to spend about $30 million to create the world’s biggest film lab in Mirabel, Canada. The 125,000-square-foot building will be used to duplicate master copies of films for distribution to movie theaters. Customers of Technicolor include Walt Disney Co., New Line Cinema Corp. and DreamWorks SKG. Master copies of films are produced at Technicolor’s Covitec laboratory, also in Quebec.
