Though named after Mozart, the Amadeus Trio won’t play any works by that composer on this Sunday program, part of the 42nd season of free afternoon concerts sponsored by the Fullerton Friends of Music. Instead, they’ll plays works by Haydn (Trio in E minor), Gaspar Cassado (Trio), and Tchaikovsky (Trio in A minor.) The Fullerton Friends are sustained by subscribers and volunteers, with the support of the Fullerton Union High School district, the Sunny Hills High School Associated Student Body Activity Class, the city of Fullerton and the Fullerton Rotary Club.

Music

The Harmonia Baroque Players will perform a varied program drawn from the rich repertory of the baroque era. The musicians for this concert will include founder and recorder player Marika Frankl, Devin Fryling (viola da gamba and baroque cello), Mari Haig (baroque violin), Barbara King (harpsichord), and Paul Sherman (baroque oboe.) The group plays in baroque pitch, rather than in modern pitch.
