Nordhoff Street, Nordhoff Hall
The classroom building on Nordhoff Street renamed Nordhoff Hall has a most ingenious new name.
You see, Nordhoff Street was named for Charles Nordhoff, who wrote “Mutiny on the Bounty.” But he didn’t write it by himself. His co-author was James Norman Hall.
So Nordhoff Hall actually honors both Nordhoff and Hall, even if no one at Cal State Northridge was aware of this. Or were they?
