Palmdale sheriff’s detectives were searching Monday for two boys who may have vandalized a Littlerock elementary school.
About 3:20 p.m. Sunday, a teacher at Daisy Gibson Elementary School on East Palmdale Boulevard saw two boys--believed to be between 8 and 12 years old--in a portable classroom next to the school, said Deputy David Miklos of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The boys ran off when they saw the teacher, who called authorities.
Four portable classrooms used by second-, third- and sixth-graders were ransacked, but no major equipment was stolen, said Principal Karen Salvaggio.
The vandals knocked over desks, smashed a portable radio and poured glue inside a computer and around the room, said Miklos, causing an estimated $1,500 in damage.
Anyone with information is asked to call Palmdale detectives at (661) 267-4300.
