Cookies on A Stick

Ice cream shops sell many flavors of paletas (flavored ice or ice cream on a stick) in Mexico, but nothing like those at La Mascota Bakery in Los Angeles. Along with pan dulce, cakes, bolillos and so forth, the bakery makes Rice Krispies paletas. The familiar sticky bar cookies are cut into squares and speared onto sticks, then painted with chocolate or white frosting and trimmed with stylish frosting squiggles.
