Homestore.com Adds International VP

* Homestore.com Inc., a Web-based real estate site, has named Richard Sommer, former chief executive of MedChannel Inc., managing director and corporate senior vice president of international operations, a newly created position within the Westlake Village-based company.

* DotTV Corp., a provider of Web identity services and the exclusive worldwide source for Web addresses ending in .tv, has tapped Chief Operating Officer Craig Frances to serve as both president and COO. In this new role, Frances will oversee all of DotTV Corp.’s domestic day-to-day activities.

* Liz Morentin has been appointed senior director, publicity, Arista Records. A former executive at Atomic Pop, she will head Arista’s West Coast publicity office.

* Sanwa Bank California has appointed David Espenscheid first senior vice president and manager of Sanwa’s Web banking business unit. He will be based in Los Angeles. Espenscheid is a former chief executive of Countrywide Home Loans’ electronic business division.

* Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment has named Nicholas Wodtke senior vice president for interactive television. In his newly created post, Wodtke will spearhead the creative and business direction of SPDE’s iTV initiatives while supervising the day-to-day and long-range programming development and operations of the studio’s interactive TV lineup. Wodtke previously was Columbia TriStar International Television’s chief operating officer for Super Television in Taiwan.

* Los Angeles-based US Search.com Inc., an Internet-based information search service, has appointed Peter Frank chief financial officer. Frank was CFO and chief operating officer at Acacia Research Corp.

* Sam Register has been promoted to senior vice president and creative director of Cartoon Network Online, with direction over CartoonNetwork.com.

* Keyser Marston Associates, a real estate advisory firm, has promoted Greg Soo-Hoo and Paul Anderson to principals in the Los Angeles office.

* Commercial real estate firm CB Richard Ellis has promoted retail specialist Brian McDonald to vice president. He will be based in the firm’s Ontario office.

* Bob LaBant, president and chief operating officer of Candle Corp., has been promoted to vice chairman. He will be succeeded by Andy Mullins, who was senior vice president of Candle’s e-business group.
