Two teenage boys were shot and killed in separate incidents Wednesday night, one in his garage in Rosemead and the other while riding a bicycle in Lynwood, authorities said.

In Rosemead, a 15-year-old was shot in the 7400 block of Garvalia Avenue about 3:45 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Cruz Solis said.

The initial investigation by homicide detectives ruled out the possibility that the boy had shot himself, Solis said. Sheriff’s Lt. Tom Martin said the boy died of a wound to the upper body.

In Lynwood, a teenager was fatally shot on Long Beach Boulevard near the Century Freeway.

“All we know is that the victim was riding a bicycle, a vehicle approached and shots were fired,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Daniels.

The shootings came a day after two men in a van gunned down the driver of another car in Lynwood in an apparent act of road rage over a long red light.

“There’s a lot of violence out there,” Daniels said.

The names of Wednesday’s victims were being withheld, pending notification of their relatives.
