BASEBALL

Season-opening festivities at Cal State Fullerton today might be cut short by rain, but even if the alumni game, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., is a washout, the Casino Night will take place at 7 at the George G. Golleher Alumni House.

Fullerton officials said those who call (714) 278-3789 after 10 a.m. today will receive a recorded message regarding the game’s status. If it is played, admission is free. The game will match this season’s Fullerton team against professional alumni payers.

Admission to Casino Night, which will feature gambling games, live and silent auctions and food, is $25. For information, call (714) 278-4446.
