Fisher Named Time Warner Regional VP

Paul Fisher is the new vice president and general manager of the Southern region for Time Warner Communications’s Los Angeles division, based in Garden Grove. Fisher was previously vice president and general manager for Road Runner High Speed Online Service and Residential Shared Services in the division. He has also been a vice president and general manager with Harte-Hanks Communications and Paragon Cable.

* John F. Fritz has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, chief actuary at PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. in Santa Ana. Fritz was previously a partner at Ernst & Young LLP in Irvine, where he was responsible for health actuarial practices in the Western U.S. He was also senior vice president and chief actuary at FHP International Inc. as well as president and chief executive of the life insurance company subsidiaries.

* Mario I. Barrenechea has been named senior vice president, sales and marketing for Raining Data Corp. in Irvine. He had been vice president, marketing and E-commerce.

* Mick Haake has been appointed chief financial officer of Kore, a Newport Beach Internet engineering firm for the media and entertainment industries. He was previously vice president of finance and controller. Michelle Colpitts has been named vice president of operations and production, and Tony Ferguson was selected as vice president of the company’s newly created division, Kore Infrastructure. Colpitts had been director of operations. Ferguson was formerly director of Kore’s business consulting group.

* Michele Feller has been appointed assistant vice president of investor relations for HomeBase Inc. Feller joined the company in 1999 as director of investor relations. Before joining HomeBase, Feller was a vice president at Pondel/Wilkinson Group, a Los Angeles investor relations consulting firm.

* Dan Milojevich has been named director of facilities for El Pollo Loco Inc. in Irvine. Milojevich was previously director of operations at Eco Tec Management Services, a consulting firm that manages solid waste and recycling programs. Before that, he was director of support services for In-N-Out Burger Inc.

* Doreen McAllister has joined the Costa Mesa Conference & Visitor Bureau as sales manager. She has more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. Carol A. Heywood was named travel marketing manager. She was formerly corporate communications manager at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach.

* Albert M. Figone has joined Andrew L. Youngquist Construction Inc. in Costa Mesa as project manager. He was previously a construction manager for Legacy Partners Commercial Inc. and a project manager for Haskell Constructors Ltd.

* Brian Cortright has been appointed director of product development for Stomp Inc. in Costa Mesa. He was previously chief executive at AccessTek, a computer consulting and sales organization. In addition, Steve DiGerlando was named director of corporate affairs. He was formerly the district representative to Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach).

* Kenya Lewitt has been selected as executive director of Laura’s House in San Clemente. She had been assistant executive director and development director of Seventh Step Foundation in Hayward. Lewitt succeeds Sandy Condello, who recently resigned but continues as a volunteer on projects.

* Fred M. Whitaker has joined the law firm of Cummins & White LLP as a partner in the Newport Beach office. He is the former general counsel and Northwest chief operating officer for the Southern Counties Oil Companies in Orange. Whitaker left Cummins & White in 1993 to join Southern Counties.

* Shirley Cedeno-Peltier has been named manager, Orange County national sales for Univision Communications and will be based in Irvine. She has been an account executive on Univision’s New York and Orange County national sales teams. Before joining Univision 12 years ago, Cedeno-Peltier was an executive at Turner Broadcasting.

* Cheri Moise is the general manager at the new Burke Williams day spa at the Block in Orange. She had been director of public relations for KLON-FM, Pacific Public Radio and before that, worked in management for four years at the House of Blues Music Co.

* Linda E. Powell has joined the law firm of Darling & Robertson LLP in Costa Mesa. She was formerly at the firm of Turner & Reynolds and the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.
