S. David Freeman and the Energy Crisis

Share

* S. David Freeman, general manager of our city’s Department of Water and Power, gets my vote for Man of the Year. Freeman may have had some luck, but his steadfast leadership will give us a softer landing. We are not out of the woods yet, so let’s listen to the man.

* Start at once to revert to Daylight Savings Time.

* Instruct that all office buildings, private or public, turn off every other light fixture.

Such procedures might avoid rolling blackouts. The savings of energy seems quite obvious.
