Acaciawood Students Win History Competition
Three Anaheim high school students won the $1,000 first-place prize at a national history competition.
Walter Liau, Andrew Miller and Ryan Pester, all 10th-graders at Acaciawood College Preparatory Academy, won the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland in June. Their winning entry was a 10-minute video documentary, “The Nuremberg Trials: A Frontier in International Law, Awakening the World to Human Rights.”
“They worked very hard,” said Michio Miyake, principal of the private Anaheim boys school.
