Doctor Accused of Sexual Assaults
A family practice doctor was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting two female patients at a Fahey Medical Group office, sheriff’s deputies said.
In separate incidents Friday and Monday, Arthur Mason, 33, began normal exams with patients that allegedly led to assaults, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said.
Mason, who had been working as a backup doctor at the complex since November, has been charged in two similar Police Department cases and was to appear in court for a preliminary hearing next week, sheriff’s officials said.
Mason is being held in Santa Clarita Valley Station in lieu of $1-million bail.
