Two Disneyland Rides Closed Temporarily
Two Disneyland rides were temporarily closed Friday after several employees complained of illness and a possible chlorine spill was reported near the Big River area of the park, authorities said.
The Anaheim Fire Department and a hazmat team were called shortly after noon. Department spokeswoman Maria Sabol said no spill or leak was found.
Chela Castano-Lenahan, a spokeswoman for Disneyland, said nine employees were treated by the park’s first-aid staff and returned to work. The Mark Twain Riverboat in Frontierland and the rafts to Tom Sawyer Island were closed for a few hours as a precaution.
