The Ontario Mills mega-mall will add four tenants, including Southern California’s fourth Improv Comedy Club in November, mall officials said.

The 400-seat comedy club will be the largest in the region, surpassing the 370-seat club in Irvine, said Tony Baldino, president of Comedy Club Inc., which owns the Improvs. The other clubs are in Brea and Hollywood.

The mall also will add a Nordstrom Rack, Nike Factory Outlet and Market Broiler seafood restaurant, officials said.

Ontario Mills had more than 20 million visitors in 2000.

“The Mills has two movie theaters that do extremely well, and we felt it is a good location for us,” Baldino said.

Stand-up acts already are lined up to perform at the Ontario venue, he said.

The Ontario club is one of four venues the Improv will open this year, bringing the total nationwide to 15. The others are planned for Oakland, Baltimore and West Palm Beach, Fla.
