From Times Wire Reports

The Army is creating quick-strike combat brigades in four more states as part of the Pentagon’s strategy of making the service nimble enough to ship thousands of troops anywhere in the world in a matter of days.

Brigades in Hawaii, Alaska, Pennsylvania and at Ft. Polk, La., will be transformed into so-called Interim Brigade Combat Teams, according to Rep. Ike Skelton of Missouri, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee. One such team was set up a year ago in Washington state to test the concept.
