Police are searching for suspects in two Orange County bank robberies that occurred less than an hour apart Saturday, but that do not appear to be connected.
The Cal Fed Bank in the 10000 block of Valley View Street in Cypress was hit about 11:30 a.m. by a man in his early 30s who passed a note to the teller, but did not appear to be armed.
At 12:19 p.m. in Brea, two suspects robbed a Bank of America in the 200 block of South State College Boulevard. Police said one man hopped over the counter and demanded cash. The suspects fled in either a red Nissan Altima or a green sport utility vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cypress Police Department at (714) 229-6600 or Brea police at (714) 990-7626.
