The Cigarette Police Are Really Hunting Down Freedom
Regarding “Where There’s Smoke, There’s Ire” (July 11): These good men who go around trying to catch smokers really need to rethink what they are doing.
I guess there is very little crime and graffiti in Southern California if we have extra people to go around catching smokers.
I hope this article strikes others as absurd and a bit scary.
Do we live in a free country anymore?
Can’t restaurant owners decide how they want to run their stores? Don’t customers have the choice not to frequent places they don’t like?
I don’t smoke, but this infringement on liberty makes it tempting to light up.
