Boys 6 and 8 Near Death After Pool Accident

Two boys were in extremely critical condition late Sunday after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool near Baldwin Hills, a city fire spokesman said.
The two were pulled from the pool about 8:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Punta Alta Drive, said Bob Collis of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The boys, ages 6 and 8, could have been submerged for as long as 15 minutes, he said. The 8-year-old lives in the home, Collis said.
