A Northridge woman accused of leaving her two young children in a locked car in the midday heat will be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of child abuse, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.

Subha Sara Sadaf, 21, could face up to seven years in prison for allegedly leaving her sons, ages 1 month and 19 months, in her locked car with the windows rolled up on June 27 in a Northridge parking lot, prosecutors said.

An off-duty police officer found the children sweating in the car while Sadaf was grocery shopping, prosecutors said.
