Hit-and-Run Accident Kills Tow-Truck Driver

A tow-truck driver servicing a stalled car on the shoulder of the Santa Ana Freeway was struck and killed Tuesday by a passing car that fled the scene, police said.
The incident happened about 9:45 p.m. The tow-truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police a beige Dodge pickup struck the driver and kept going. Officers later interviewed a suspect at a nearby home, police said.
