Fullerton Museum Center will host a “Jazz Photography Day” featuring a special tour of the current exhibit “Be-Bop and Hi-Fi: Photographing Jazz” and tips by archivist David Berger of the Milton J. Hinton Photograph Archive on caring for photographs. A slide presentation led by paper conservator Holly Maxson will discuss useful techniques and the challenge of preserving the Hinton archive of 45,000 negatives and prints. The exhibit, which runs through Sept. 9, highlights six decades of music through the photographs of legendary jazz musicians, including bassist Milt “The Judge” Hinton.
