Two men accused of killing a Northridge jewelry store owner in a botched robbery attempt pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning in San Fernando Superior Court.
In December, Sunrise Jewelry owner Karo Zeytounyan was shot several times in the chest and face with a handgun when Gaik Papazyan and Artem Samsonyan allegedly tried to rob the shop on Tampa Avenue. Police found rings and necklaces scattered on the floor around the jeweler’s body.
The case was continued to Sept. 9.
