From Times Staff Reports

An offbeat co-op art gallery that recently won its bid to stay in Anaheim will celebrate the city’s approval with an improvisational concert tonight.

Last month, the City Council granted AAA Electra 99 the conditional-use permit to operate, overturning a decision by the Planning Commission.

The gallery accepts any art from people who pay a small fee to rent wall space. It also serves as a meeting hall and performance center for bands, poets and other artists.

The show, David Hatfield’s All-Group Jam, will begin at 9 p.m. and is open to all musicians. The gallery is at 2821 Whitestar Ave., Unit D. Information: (714) 666-1805.
