British TV Exec to Head USA Entertainment

Hollywood mogul Barry Diller’s USA Networks Inc. named Michael Jackson, head of Britain’s critically acclaimed Channel Four Television, to lead its USA Entertainment division, which includes cable TV channels and a movie studio.
Jackson, ex-controller of BBC2 and a former director of BBC Television, will become president and chief executive of the Entertainment Group--which includes USA Cable, Studios USA and USA Films. He will report to Diller and be based in New York and Los Angeles.
