The city’s 19th postmaster in its 124-year history will be sworn in Friday.
After 10 years in the Marine Corps, Skip Mejico joined the U.S. Postal Service in 1980 as a letter carrier in Chino.
Two years later, he became a supervisor in Covina and continued to advance with the agency.
Before the Garden Grove appointment, Mejico was postmaster in Temple City.
The ceremony is set for 10 a.m. at the main post office, 10441 Stanford Ave.
