Countrywide Credit CEO Signs 10-Year Contract

Angelo Mozilo agreed to continue as chief executive of Countrywide Credit Industries Inc. for the next five years and consult for the largest publicly traded U.S. mortgage company for five years after that.

The Calabasas-based company didn’t disclose terms of the 10-year contract.

Mozilo, 62, co-founded the company in 1969. Last year, he earned $6.12 million in salary, bonus and other cash compensation.

He also was given options on 500,000 shares that had a value of $6.83 million on the day they were granted, according to the company’s proxy statement.

Intertainer Entertainment-on-demand broadband network Intertainer named industry veteran Stephen Ste. Marie president and chief operating officer. He will report to Chief Executive Jonathan Taplin.

Previously the CEO of CareerPath.com, Ste. Marie will be responsible for day-to-day operations and managing the Culver City company’s strategy.

PacifiCare PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. in Santa Ana promoted Judy Ehrenreich to senior vice president of human resources. She succeeds Wanda Lee, who announced her retirement effective in July.

Ehrenreich joined PacifiCare five years ago after holding positions at McGraw Edison Corp., Columbia Savings & Loan, Hydril Oil Co. and First Interstate Bancorp.

Avery Dennison Avery Dennison Corp., the Pasadena-based maker of self-adhesive labels and other office products, promoted Assistant Treasurer Karyn E. Rodriguez to vice president and treasurer.

She succeeds Wayne H. Smith, who was appointed vice president, financial services.
