Nature hikes and art exhibits will be part of a celebration at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park June 16 and 17.
For the first time, guides will lead visitors through the area, including a six-mile hike at 8:30 a.m. from Little Sycamore Canyon to Laurel Canyon, said Mary Fegraus, Laguna Canyon Foundation executive director.
A brief ceremony at 10:30 a.m. June 16 will recognize the Donald Bren Foundation, Laguna Plein Air Painters Assn. and the Joan Irvine Smith & Athalie R. Clarke Foundation for a $25,000 gift from the foundations for the park’s first permanent trail and parking signs.
