Judge Refuses to Halt Disney Parking Lots
- Share via
A judge on Friday denied an Anaheim apartment complex’s request for a temporary restraining order that would have blocked the Walt Disney Co. from paving two temporary parking lots near Disneyland.
The Parkewood Village complex filed the petition last week, saying the city did not give proper notice of public hearings on the project and did not study effects on traffic and the environment. Orange County Superior Court Judge David R. Chaffee denied the request.
The Anaheim City Council has approved the project, which calls for a 701-space lot for Disney employees and a 1,000-space lot for overflow parking from Disneyland and California Adventure.
The project still needs approval by Anaheim’s traffic manager and city manager before paving can begin.
